Behind the Lens
My first camera was a Pentax Spotmatic 500. I used it for a high school photography class that tried to teach me how to use a darkroom. You guessed it, it was a film camera! I would take two photos of each subject and hope one of them was not blurry, didn’t have red eyes or I didn’t cut the body off and just have a floating head.
When digital cameras came into being that’s what I used for everything. Travel, sports, landscapes and portraits. As they became better and better, and I had young children, I used them daily. When our boys started playing sports it just couldn’t keep up with the constant movement of children. That’s when I upgraded to what was refereed to as my “real” camera.
As our boys grew I became their sports photographer. This lead to taking photos for other parents, to being the family photographer, to taking photos for other people’s websites. Next, I worked for several colleges photographing seniors, department photos, lecture series, being the theater department dress rehearsal photographer, as well as, my favorite, sports!
I was given the opportunity to photograph several elite cars for an automotive group. This steered me in another direction and opened up a whole new world. Specializing in elite car and automotive photographs.
I have been publishing photos since the early 90’s and hope to continue in the future. Located in Western Massachusetts from mid May through December I am available to photograph events. January through mid May you’ll find me in Port Richey (Tampa area) Florida, basking in the sun and savoring the nature that is Florida.

Traveling is something I enjoy. It’s a non stop educational journey that’s a lot of fun. I am always looking for something eye catching around or near where I am. I direct and retouch my own photographs, they can be used for personal, professional or social media purposes.
